Wanted: Campus Champions — Volunteers

:police_car_light: Wanted: Campus Champions — Volunteer → Ambassador → Media Creator Pipeline

We need YOU. Literally.

Pakistan’s biggest physics talent hunt is happening right now. Thousands of students across the country don’t even know they could represent Pakistan at the Physics World Cup 2027 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Please note, this post is about how you can help us conduct the competition on different stages as a PYIMS volunteer. If you want to participate in the competition itself, you will have to register throught the registration portal at THIS LINK.

That’s where you come in.

We’re building a team of Campus Champions — students like you who spread the word, bring their peers into the fold, and help us make sure no talented kid gets left behind just because they didn’t hear about it.

Three roles. Three certificates. One mission.

:puzzle_piece: How It Works — The Pipeline

1. :loudspeaker: Outreach Helper (Volunteer)

How to unlock:

  1. Share the IYPT campaign on your socials — WhatsApp status, Instagram story, Facebook, whatever you’ve got
  2. Screenshot it and post the proof right here in this topic (reply below!)
  3. That’s it. You’re in.

Once you post your proof, we’ll add you to our Volunteers WhatsApp Group where you’ll get:

  • Direct access to our outreach team
  • Campaign resources, posters, and shareable content
  • Quick updates and coordination

:light_bulb: Sharing on your personal WhatsApp status, class groups, school groups, Instagram stories — all of it counts. Just show us the screenshot.

2. :graduation_cap: Campus Ambassador

:high_voltage: This is NOT a solo gig. The Physics World Cup is a competition — but outreach is a community effort. We don’t promote lone wolves. We promote leaders who build teams.

Before you level up from Volunteer to Ambassador, we need to see that you’re not just you — you’re bigger than that. You’ve rallied your friends, formed a squad at your school, and you’re running this thing together. One person sharing a story is nice. Five people from the same campus all pushing together? That’s Ambassador energy.

How to unlock:

  • You’re already a Volunteer (Level 1 ✓)
  • You’ve built a team — brought other volunteers from your campus into the fold
  • Students from your school/college actually register through your collective outreach
  • You actively share stories, updates, and engagement proof in the Volunteers WhatsApp group

When your team’s efforts start converting into real registrations, you’ll be promoted to our exclusive Ambassadors WhatsApp group — a tight circle of our most effective campus leaders.

:school: You become the face of PYIMS at your campus — not alone, but as the one who built the crew. That’s not just a line for your CV — it’s a verified certificate from a national scientific society that says you led something real.

3. :test_tube: Resident Scientist

How to unlock:

  • You have registered for the competition
  • You actively participate in the community by replying to queries and posting solutions on our LMS/platform.
  • You help maintain an engaging and helpful environment for new students.

:books: Become a Resident Scientist if you are a problem-solver who loves helping others understand complex concepts. It’s perfect for those who want to prove their technical leadership and collaborative spirit.

4. :clapper_board: Campus Media Creator

How to unlock:

  • You’re already a Volunteer or Ambassador
  • You go beyond sharing — you create original content: reels, videos, posters, memes, explainer posts, TikToks, whatever works
  • Your content drives awareness and engagement

Media Creators get added to the Ambassadors & Creators internal group and receive a dedicated Campus Media Creator Certificate from PYIMS.

:movie_camera: Made a reel explaining why IYPT matters? Filmed your friends reacting to the selection pipeline? Created a poster that went viral in your school group? That’s Media Creator territory.

:sports_medal: The Certificates

These aren’t participation trophies. PYIMS is a registered national scientific society with international affiliations (IYPT, Owlypia, WCFYD).

A certificate from us says:

“This student was part of the official outreach team for Pakistan’s national selection for the International Young Physicists’ Tournament.”

Three certificate tiers:

Role Certificate
:loudspeaker: Volunteer PYIMS Outreach Volunteer Certificate
:graduation_cap: Campus Ambassador PYIMS Campus Ambassador Certificate
:test_tube: Resident Scientist PYIMS Resident Scientist Award
:clapper_board: Campus Media Creator PYIMS Campus Media Creator Award

Only students in the respective WhatsApp groups at the end of the campaign receive certificates. No group membership = no certificate. Simple.
